A multimedia course on process and system technologies.
Process management is the study of the operatability and functional control of processes. The disciplines of process and automation engineering are key to its understanding. This production provides an overview of the purposeful integration of physical, chemical, bio-logical and information processes.
The interactive learning concept consists of lectures, exercises and process simulations. Numerous chapters give you a comprehensive introduction into the fundamentals of process management. Gain technical knowledge of regulators, actuators, sensors, step responses, continuous function charts, Petri nets, process control system, model-based process control, controllability analysis and much more.
A series of basis questions are answered along the way:
• Why is process management necessary?
• How do systems react to external interferences?
• Why are processes controlled?
• Which strategies are in use, seeing technical implementation and producing documentation?
The authors, Prof. Dr. Günther Wozny, Dipl. Ing. Alexander Grote and Dipl. Ing. Andreas Klein from the Institute for Process and System Technologies at the Technical University Berlin, developed this multimedia production in collaboration with MHSG.
